HBOT - Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
HBOT is a medical and wellness treatment that involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, where the atmospheric pressure is 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal. This increased pressure allows the lungs to absorb and deliver up to 1000% more oxygen to the body.

Based on Henry's Law, this therapy increases the partial pressure of all gases, leading to immediate effects such as reduction of gas embolism size and enhanced oxygen delivery throughout the body.

Recommended Medical Applications of HBOT:
Chronic or non-healing wounds

Carbon monoxide poisoning

Gangrene and severe infections

Burns

Arterial insufficiency

Anemia

Air or gas embolism

Sudden hearing or vision loss

Radiation injuries

Severe bone and skin infections

Traumatic injuries

Skin grafts

Necrotizing soft tissue infections

Diabetes and diabetic wounds

Endocrine disorders and hormone imbalance

Autism spectrum disorder

Cerebral palsy

Post-COVID conditions

Depression

Hair loss

HIV/AIDS

Migraine headaches

Sports injuries

Erectile dysfunction

Wellness Applications of HBOT:
Stem cell proliferation

Growth of new blood vessels

Toxin neutralization

Improved cognitive function

New capillary stimulation

Brain cell activation

Skin rejuvenation

Enhanced athletic performance and recovery

Acceleration of stem cell therapy outcomes

Immune system support

Full-body regeneration

Post-steroid recovery

How It Works
HBOT enhances healing by delivering oxygen-rich plasma to oxygen-starved tissues. Injuries damage blood vessels, causing swelling and limiting oxygen delivery. HBOT reduces swelling and increases oxygen supply, helping break the cycle of inflammation and tissue death.

It also helps prevent reperfusion injury – damage caused when blood supply returns to oxygen-deprived tissue, releasing harmful free radicals. HBOT promotes natural antioxidants to neutralize these radicals and support healing.

HBOT inhibits harmful bacteria and boosts immune response by enhancing white blood cell activity. It stimulates collagen production and skin regeneration, encourages blood vessel formation, and accelerates tissue repair.

History & Modern Use
HBOT was first used in the early 20th century by Orville Cunningham to successfully treat a patient dying from the flu. In the 1940s, the U.S. Navy adopted HBOT to treat decompression sickness in deep-sea divers. By the 1960s, it was also used for carbon monoxide poisoning and has since been approved for a wide range of medical conditions.

Duration: 50 minutes
HBOT & Elite Performance
HBOT is a key part of recovery and performance enhancement for world-class athletes such as Michael Phelps, Floyd Mayweather, Novak Djokovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Tiger Woods – many of whom sleep in their own hyperbaric chambers to maximize regeneration.

It is highly effective when combined with the TEC-SPA MODULE by Art of Cryo for comprehensive biohacking and wellness optimization.
