Treatments That Actually Do Something
Our Longevity Centre combines HBOT, IV therapy, cryotherapy and advanced diagnostics — the same technology used in London's leading private clinics, delivered daily as part of every package.
Cryo -75

Cryotherapy −75°C

The first cryo stage, performed at −75°C. Extreme cold triggers an anti-inflammatory response, boosts circulation, and kick-starts the body's natural recovery processes.

Recovery · Anti-ageing
Cryo -110

Cryotherapy −110°C

Performed in the advanced Vaultz cryo chamber at −110°C. A 2–3 minute session delivers maximum cellular renewal and deep physical recovery.

Deep recovery · Energy
Light

Red Light Therapy

Red and near-infrared photobiomodulation stimulates mitochondrial function at the cellular level. Improves skin quality, reduces inflammation, and lifts energy levels.

Skin · Cellular health
Lymph

Lymphatic Drainage (Pressotherapy)

Advanced pneumatic compression activates lymphatic flow, improves circulation, and accelerates muscle recovery — especially useful after travel or intense training.

Detox · Circulation
Kegel

Pelvic Floor Chair (EMS)

Non-invasive pelvic floor strengthening via electromagnetic stimulation. Targeted deep-muscle activation for core stability, continence, and overall wellbeing.

Pelvic health · Core
HBOT

HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy)

Medical-grade oxygen under increased pressure accelerates cellular repair, supports cognitive function, and aids deep recovery at the biological level.

Why Here · Why Now

The Same Springs.
A Better Setting.

For 3,000 years, people have come to these mineral springs to recover. The Thracians built temples here. The Romans built bath complexes. Today, Therma Numera adds cryotherapy, HBOT and modern recovery science — while keeping what mattered all along: alkaline mineral water, quiet, and time.

1ST MILLENNIUM BC
Thracian Sanctuary
A temple to the Three Nymphs was built around the hot springs. The first recorded visitors came seeking healing — and they kept coming back.
61 AD
Roman Thermae
Rome built one of its largest public bath complexes here — officially named Aquae Calidae, or Hot Waters. The archaeological site is still open to visit, ten minutes from the resort.
6TH CENTURY
Byzantine Period
Emperor Justinian fortified the site. Empress Irene came here to recover from illness — and reportedly donated her imperial robes to the local church in thanks.
16TH CENTURY
Ottoman Hammam
An Ottoman bathhouse was built directly on the Roman foundations. The architecture still stands — now restored as a museum beside Therma Numera.
TODAY
Therma Numera
The same mineral springs, now paired with cryotherapy, HBOT, IV therapy and proper recovery science. Adults-only. Unhurried. The kind of place UK spas used to be — before they got crowded.

“Three thousand years of people choosing the same place to recover is not a marketing claim. It's a useful data point.”

On Why Old Springs Still Matter

Spa & Thermal Zone
Proper Recovery, Properly Done

Mineral pools, sauna garden, contrast therapy and massage — all drawing on the same thermal springs. No crowds, no queues, no extra charges.

Indoor Pool Indoor Pool
Warm Water, Year-Round

Indoor Mineral Pool · 38°C

12 × 5 metres of warm mineral water at 38°C. A calm interior in natural materials, designed for quiet. The warm water eases tired muscles, improves circulation, and settles the nervous system.

Connected directly to the outdoor pool — swim from indoor warmth to open sky without leaving the water.

Daily 08:00 – 00:00
Open Sky, Warm Water

Outdoor Mineral Pool · 38°C

Swim under the open sky in warm mineral water — summer sun or winter stars. Seamlessly connected to the indoor pool, so you move between them without stepping out of the water.

A landscaped garden surrounds the pool, keeping the setting quiet and uncluttered.

Daily 08:00 – 00:00
Outdoor Pool Outdoor Pool
Salt Pool Salt Pool
Float & Reset

Salt Mineral Pool

Float weightlessly in high-concentration salt water. Eases the muscles, improves circulation, and helps the skin and airways — without the work of swimming.

An easy way to switch off properly — balance, quiet, and nothing to do but float.

Contrast Therapy

Cold Plunge Pool · 8–10°C

The right finish to a thermal session or sauna round. The hot-cold contrast gets the blood moving, builds resilience, and speeds up recovery.

Energising, sharpening, and genuinely restorative. Thirty seconds is often all it takes.

Cold Pool Cold Pool
Sauna Sauna
Sauna Garden

Sauna, Steam & Salt Room

Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, steam room and salt room — set outdoors in a planted garden. Guided Aufguss sessions every two hours, led properly by trained sauna masters.

Deep detox, real stress relief, and a setting you can actually hear yourself think in.

Hands-On Therapy

Massage & Therapies

Experienced therapists, full range of techniques — deep tissue, sports recovery, aromatherapy, hot stone. Each session is built around what you actually need, not a set menu.

Water, heat, and trained hands — the combination that makes the rest of the week stick.

Why This Mineral Spring Actually Matters
Most UK spas use treated pool water with added minerals. Therma Numera uses natural thermal water, drawn directly from an alkaline mineral source that has been documented for 3,000 years. Same composition. Same temperature. Every day.

Common Questions
The Honest Answers
Why is it so much cheaper than a UK spa?

Lower operating costs — staff, property, energy — not lower standards. The equipment, protocols and qualifications match what you'd find in Harley Street or a Cotswold retreat. You're paying for the treatments, not the postcode.

Are the treatments medically supervised?

Yes. All longevity treatments are delivered by trained medical staff under physician oversight. Protocols are evidence-based. Equipment is certified (Vaultz cryo cabin, medical-grade HBOT chamber, FDA-approved IV protocols).

Is it actually quiet? Or is it another busy spa?

Adults only, 18+. Capacity is deliberately limited. You'll share the thermal zone with perhaps a dozen other guests at any one time — not a hundred. This was the point.

What's the food like?

Mediterranean, mostly — fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, good olive oil, decent wine. Breakfast and dinner are included at La Bottarga. Vegetarian, gluten-free and personalised menus are available on request.

Do I need a visa after Brexit?

No. UK citizens can enter Bulgaria visa-free for up to 90 days. Your passport needs at least 3 months' validity beyond your return date — the standard Schengen rule.

What if I don't like one of the treatments?

We'll swap it for another at no extra cost. Your treatment plan is agreed with a doctor on arrival, not fixed in advance. If something isn't working, we'll adjust.
